Battlegrounds
The following information lists
recommended classes that would work well with a Restoration Shaman. Keep in mind, Restoration Shamans tend to do better in 5v5.
Battlegrounds are a chance to join your
Alliance or Horde brethren against the other faction. Each battleground creates different challenges and victory conditions.
For 2v2: Death Knight, Hunter, Paladin,
and Rogue.
There are currently five battlegrounds:
Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin, Alterac Valley, Eye of the Storm and Strand of the Ancients. You can join battlegrounds by either traveling to the battleground entrance or speaking with a Battlemaster.
For 3v3: Hunter/Paladin,Phantasy Star Universe Meseta, Hunter/Mage,Cheap Phantasy Star Universe Meseta,
Mage/Rogue, Death Knight/Hunter, and Death Knight/Paladin.
For 5v5: There are numerous
combinations that would do well here. It is about experimenting with different classes to see what works best for you. Typically it is best to have a second healer in the group and lots of crowd control abilities.
If you plan to PvP as you level, PvP at the
last level before the next divided level cap. Battlegrounds are divided into 10 level sections. Therefore join Battlegrounds when you are level 19, 29, 39, etc.
Arenas
Arenas are another option of PvP combat
in WoW that offers players a chance to battle in close-knit teams against those of your own faction or against the other faction. There are three types of teams: 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5.
Victory is awarded to the team with the
last man standing. Therefore, arena combat survivability mostly depends on your group and your gear.
